Page 1 of 4 Ferrari was founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929 as Scuderia Ferrari, which initially sponsored drivers and manufactured race cars. It wasn’t until 1947 that the company, as Ferrari Società per Azioni (a joint stock company), produced its first street legal vehicles.
Enzo Ferrari withstood years of financial struggle before finally selling the company’s sports car division to the Fiat group in 1969 to ensure financial stability. Nonetheless, he retained control of the racing division until 1988, when he died at the age of 90. Throughout its history, Ferrari has earned a lofty reputation, not only for its racing but for its road models, which are some of the most revered and coveted vehicles in the world. The “Cavallino Rampante,” Ferrari’s iconic black prancing stallion, is instantly recognizable as a symbol of quality, craftsmanship, speed and power. Due to this heritage, not just anyone can set out to alter the appearance or performance of a Ferrari. However, there are some that don’t just dress up Ferraris in exciting new styles, they make them better.
