She’s beautiful, sexy and everybody’s favorite “Girl Next Door.” Best known as the youngest of Hugh Hefner’s live-in girlfriends, 22-year-old Kendra Wilkinson has come a long way from her humble roots in San Diego, California, where she was working as a dental assistant.

Overcoming the odds by being at the right place at the right time, Kendra caught Hef’s eye after he stumbled upon a photo of her that had been sent to his mansion; she had been asked by a friend to attend Hef’s 78th birthday celebration as a body-painted model. After that, Hef approached her to be one of his girlfriends, and he moved her into the Playboy mansion.

Now, Kendra is living a dream, but there’s more to this blonde babe than just her good looks. Kendra is a down-to-earth, sports-loving, self-proclaimed tomboy, who doesn’t think of herself as a celebrity because to her, she’s still the same girl from San Diego (but with a high-profile boyfriend).

DUB: Did you always want to be a Playboy model, let alone Hef’s girlfriend?
Kendra: Seriously, when I came here, I was 18 and didn’t know what Playboy was. I was just living in San Diego, and this just fell into my lap. It was crazy how it happened.

DUB: How does it feel to be both?
Kendra: I love being Hef’s girlfriend. Although I’m not really the model type, I still like doing it. Both are fun. Hef is the greatest guy in the world.

DUB: Are you allowed to date other guys?
Kendra: No, I’m not allowed to, but that doesn’t mean I can’t look or taste [laughs]. Just kidding.

DUB: Would you say you intimidate guys?
Kendra: That’s what I like to think. It’s either that or they don’t like me.

DUB: What’s up with your nickname “K Dub?”
Kendra: The “K” is for Kendra and the Dub is the “W” in my last name.

DUB: The mansion sees tons of celebrities. What has been your favorite celebrity encounter thus far?

Kendra: Well, you know me…I’m all into hip-hop and sports. Can’t really name one, but I do love meeting everybody. There are many people that come here, from athletes to rappers. Wait, I’m going to have to say Too $hort. He’s one of my best friends, and I met him here. Hef had no idea who he was and I found out from somebody he was at the mansion because every body knows I’m a huge Too $hort fan. Hef actually denied him to come into the mansion the first time, so I got pissed and was like, “Hef, what the f*ck are you doing? It’s Too $hort.” We got him in, and he came up to me and thanked me for helping him get in. See, I’m bringing hip-hop to the mansion, man. I’m adding some flavor to this place.

DUB: You’ve said that you’re a tomboy. Why do you think that about yourself?
Kendra: When I say it, it’s from the heart. Dressing up like this isn’t what I do all the time. It’s crazy that I’m going to be on the cover of DUB because usually I just like to chill in jerseys and big boy shorts. You should see my room. You’d think it was a guy’s room because there’s so much guy and sports stuff around…well, except for the purple walls.

DUB: You’ve posed for Playboy Magazine numerous times already. What was the experience like?
Kendra: I had never shot nude before, so I was a bit uncomfortable the first time. Anytime a guy waked by as I was spreading my legs for a pose, I was like,
“Go away!” It was kind of hard, but the second time, I was comfortable, and the third time I was like whatever. It’s to the point where I run around naked now.

DUB: Besides staring in E’s “The Girls Next Door,” what other acting stints do you have in the works?
Kendra: I have a movie coming out before summer. It’s produced and written by Adam Sandler. Me, Bridget, Holly and Hef are in it for a short while. It’s actually kind of based on Playboy.

DUB: You currently have your own fragrance and online merchandise store. Do you have any other business ventures coming up?
Kendra: I have quite a bit of stuff in the works, but I really can’t talk about them until I start signing papers.

DUB: If you weren’t a Playboy model or Hef’s girlfriend, what do you think you’d be doing right now?
Kendra: If I didn’t live here in the mansion, I’d probably be married with kids because back home before I got this amazing opportunity, I was with a guy. We were planning to get married when I was offered to live here by Hef.

DUB: Talk to me about your cars. What kind of ride are you pushing around the mansion?
Kendra: I drive a 2002 Cadillac Escalade. I love it even though everybody tells me to update it. I always tell them how much I love my baby. I got some rims on it and a banging system. My thing is I love traffic because I get to bug people when I bump my music, especially when old people tell me to turn it down. I’m like, “Turn that sh*t up, bitch!”

DUB: So, what’s your dream car?
Kendra: Probably the Aston Martin I’m posing with.

DUB: This past year, you were a celebrity racer in the Long Beach Grand Prix. How did that come about?
Kendra: I’m the craziest driver around, and when my mom found out I got the opportunity to race, she thought it was the perfect opportunity for me to learn how to be a better driver. We had to practice, like, three weekends before the race in a row, and it still didn’t make me a better driver. If you’ve seen the show, you know how I ran into a wall. It’s weird because I did perfectly in the practices, and when it came down to the race, I crashed. I think it was all the pressure because I was getting cocky, and then BAM…I ran into the wall.

DUB: What motivates you?
Kendra: My mom. I’m working my ass off for her. People think I get whatever I want in this mansion,
but I really work for every dime I get. I always think of my mom when I’m working, too. I want to pay her back and get her a house. I motivate myself so that I can get her things she’s never had before.

DUB: What advice would you give to those who want to be successful like yourself?
Kendra: Never think you’re successful. To me, there’s no such thing as being successful because once you think it, you’re going to stop motivating yourself to move forward for bigger things.

DUB: How do you want to be remembered on this earth?
Kendra: As a good person with a good soul.
